AvClock 1.8: My Flights, Airport Amenities, and a Customizable Detail View
AvClock 1.8 is out for iPhone, and it's one of the bigger updates yet: a real flight tracker built into the app, a currency converter and trip-prep info for every country, a proper Airport Amenities section for finding lounges and TSA PreCheck lanes, and a detail screen you can now arrange however you actually use it. My Flights
Save your upcoming flights right inside AvClock and get calendar reminders so a trip doesn't sneak up on you. It's not trying to replace a dedicated flight tracker with live gate/delay data, it's the simple layer that sits on top of everything else AvClock already does well: the moment you've saved a flight, its departure and arrival airports are one tap away from their full local time, weather, and status pages.
Currency Converter and Know Before You Go
Every airport's detail screen now has real trip-prep information for wherever you're headed: local currency (with a built-in converter), plug type and voltage, which side of the road people drive on, the local emergency number, and rental-car license guidance for that country. It's the stuff you'd otherwise have five different tabs open to look up, now sitting right next to the local time and weather you already opened AvClock to check.
Airport Amenities
For major hubs, airport detail screens now show terminals, TSA PreCheck/CLEAR/Global Entry availability, and lounge access, including Centurion Lounge and Priority Pass locations, plus U.S. Preclearance status for airports abroad that let you clear customs before you even land back home. Amenity data is inherently a moving target (terminals get renovated, lounges close, programs change), so treat it as a helpful starting point and confirm anything time-sensitive with the airport or airline directly.
Customize Airport View
This is a Premium feature that's been a long time coming: you can now show, hide, and reorder every section of an airport's detail screen exactly how you want it. Only care about weather and skip the amenities section entirely? Want map and sunrise/sunset right at the top instead of buried halfway down? It's your call now, and it applies across every airport you look at, not just one.
Siri and Shortcuts
Ask Siri "what time is it at" any saved airport and get an answer without opening the app at all. It's a small thing, but it's exactly the kind of small thing that adds up when you're checking the same handful of airports throughout the day.
A New Branded Share Card
Sharing an airport now generates an actual designed card instead of a plain text link: AvClock's own black and liquid-metal look, the airport's code, city, and country flag included. Send it in a group chat, post it, whatever, it actually looks like something now.
Also in this release: cleaner, easier-to-read weather and status alert notifications, and a fix for an issue where some users could get stuck on the legal agreement screen even after scrolling all the way through it.
