Privacy Policy — AvGrav

AvGrav is designed to respect your privacy. The app makes no network requests at all, has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising, and does not transmit any personal or device information to us or to any third party. Every calculation happens entirely on your device.

Information we collect

None. AvGrav does not know who you are, has no server, and has nothing to send your data to even if it wanted to.

Calculations and history

Every reading you calculate — API gravity, temperature, fuel type, volume, description, and any edit history — is stored only on your device, in a container shared between the app and its Home Screen widget or Watch complication on that same device. This data is never transmitted anywhere. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it (unless you've backed up your device via Apple's own iCloud/Finder backup, which is governed by Apple's privacy practices, not ours).

The Watch app

The Apple Watch app is independent: it does not currently share its calculation history with the iPhone app. A reading calculated on the Watch stays on the Watch, and a reading calculated on the iPhone stays on the iPhone, each stored the same locally-only way described above.

Camera and photos

If you choose to attach a photo of a hydrometer, gauge, or other physical reading as proof alongside a calculation, the app requests camera access only at that moment, and only to let you take that photo. Photos you choose from your library are selected through Apple's system photo picker, which does not give the app direct access to your photo library. Either way, the photo is saved only in the same on-device, app-only storage described above — never uploaded or transmitted.

Purchases

AvGrav is a one-time paid download processed entirely by Apple. All payment processing is handled by Apple; the app never sees or stores your payment details.

International users

AvGrav does not transmit or store personal data on any server we operate — there are no user accounts, and nothing is retained by us for a data-access, correction, or deletion request under regulations such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to act on. Children

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 — it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted with a new "Last updated" date. For changes we consider material, the app will ask you to review and re-accept the updated policy the next time you open it, rather than assuming your continued use means agreement.
