AvGrav Is Now $0.99

AvGrav now costs $0.99, down from $3.99. Same app, same everything, one purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, then or now.

AvGrav on iPhone and Apple Watch: History, a corrected reading of 43.79 API at 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and the watch app showing the same result

Why Lower It

AvGrav is a tool for the person holding the hydrometer: the fueler on the ramp, the line tech doing a QC check, the FBO running a fuel farm. Those people often buy their own tools, and a calculator they'll use every shift shouldn't need a purchase request. At $0.99, it's an easy yes for one person, and easy to put on every phone at a whole FBO.

What $0.99 Gets You

Everything. There's no free tier and no Pro tier, just the app:

  • Corrected API gravity at 60°F for Jet A and Jet A-1, 100LL, mogas, and diesel, with color-coded results for normal, marginal, and out of range.
  • Density hydrometers too: kg/m³ corrected to 15°C.
  • Fuel volume, net volume at 60°F, and total weight in pounds or kilograms.
  • A comparison against the delivery ticket, with your own tolerance.
  • History with photos, notes, saved tanks and trucks, and a star to protect a reading from deletion.
  • Export as a spreadsheet (CSV) or a summary PDF.
  • An Apple Watch app with History synced to your iPhone, a Home Screen widget, and Siri and Shortcuts.

Already Bought It?

Thank you. You were here first, and that helped make this possible. Nothing changes for you: every update is still included, and there's still nothing to subscribe to.

One more thing from the same developer: Shotstand, an App Store screenshot maker for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, is coming soon. It's free, with one $0.99 upgrade, for anyone shipping an app on a budget. AvGrav's new App Store header images were made with its device frames.

AvGrav and this guide are reference and convenience tools, not certified measurement instruments or a substitute for a calibrated hydrometer, thermometer, or your organization's official procedures. Always follow your organization's quality control program and applicable regulations before accepting, rejecting, or releasing any fuel.
